The MAC112C-0-HD-4-C/130-A-1/WI552LX/S005 from Rexroth is a MAC AC servo motor with a nominal speed rating of 2000 rotations per minute. This servo motor comes with a tacho feedback system to regulate the speed of the motor by generating a feedback voltage of 3 volts per 1000 rotations of speed. This signal is then sent to the motor control unit, such as TDM, KDS, or DSC, to help control the motor.
This motor comes with a low rotor inertia of 170 x 10^-4 kgm2—the lower the motor inertia, the better—as it helps with faster Acceleration and Deceleration, helping ramp up to speed and slow down more quickly, improving responsiveness. Some applications may require precise adjustments in speed and direction. Low rotor inertia also helps keep the overall design electrically efficient, as less energy is required to move and stop the rotor. This motor design has a torque constant of 0.730 Nm per ampere of current, which is perfect for applications that may generate high levels of heat. Speaking of heat, this motor relies on the Natural convection cooling method and should be installed in a well-ventilated room to cool down much more quickly. The ambient temperature range of operation for this motor is between 0 to 40 degrees Celsius nominal.
The motor supports the flange mounting option and requires a 130 mm flange to be mounted perfectly. The centering diameter of this motor is also 130 mm. The manufacturer recommends installing the motor at a height of 1000 meters above sea level in order to function perfectly as rated.
