Product Description:

The Rexroth Bosch's MAC112C-0-HD-4-C/130-A-1/WI518LV/S009 features an incremental encoder with standard mounting for providing improved accuracy of the motor's position and control. An incremental encoder works by producing an electrical pulse for every shaft rotation of the rotor through its magnetic units. These pulses are feedback of the position, speed, and direction of the rotation. The standard mounting of the encoder means the position of the motor accurately reflects the position of the motor shaft. There is little mechanical interference between data transmission and the rotary motion of the motor shaft.

The encoder has efficient performance in applications that require a change in motion relative to speed feedback. It is especially useful for applications requiring precision in start, stop or in quickly varying the speed of movement in real-time, such as in robotics, conveyors and automated manufacturing. Some of the factors that may affect the functionality of the MAC112C asynchronous motor are the following. It is important to monitor the output of the encoder during the initial check of compliance with the operation. During operation there should be clean uninterrupted pulses generated by the encoder, any abnormalities can be a result of either an alignment problem or a faulty encoder.

Furthermore, several aspects of the motor's response to control inputs can be evaluated simply by running the motor at different output speeds and then observing the feedback via associated control systems. If the motor speed is equal to the commanded input then both the motor and encoder are fine. In conclusion, routine maintenance along with real-time monitoring through the encoder feedback helps the motor to sustain real-time performance in all industrial applications.
