The MAC112C-0-HD-3-C/130-B-1/S021 by Rexroth Bosch has a B-side power connection which provides flexibility in the configuration of the system. Such a connection is especially beneficial in situations that have limited space or in the installation of the motor requiring a specific position of the cables. By placing the connectors on the B-side, the wiring can be properly organized thus reducing the problem of cables blockage. It avoids direct connection of cables with the motor to avoid interferences and makes it easier to manage cables during maintenance or other operations.
The standard blocking brake, which has 45 Nm of torque, provides an optimal function in conditions where the motor remains in position when the power is off. This brake works to immobilize the motor shaft and avoid any undesired motion thereby providing structural integrity to the attached component. It is an important safety aspect in load-holding applications, which are needed in elevators, cranes, or robotics. For instance, when the power is off in lifts or cranes, it prevents the load from shifting.
