The MAC112B-0-PD-4-C/130-B-2/AM164SG/S013 is an AC servo motor which belongs to the MAC series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat and is designed for high speed response applications. This module can be connected with DCS and KDS drive controllers hence it has a broad application in industries such as printing and packaging, robotics and machinery, tools and handling equipment, textile industries and transfer systems. This motor is protected and shielded to a very large extent from its environment in which it operates. This motor has been constructed and designed to the DIN 40 050 standard and in no way does it vary from this standard. It offers protection against any form of ingress and water which may in one way or the other try to enter the motor. Its contact guards prevent it from any sort that is moving or alive and therefore makes it very reliable.
Another advantage of this motor is that it can work for many years with a low level of maintenance which is required. This is a big plus of the brushless motor as the motor comes with lifetime lubricated bearings and therefore there is no need for frequent maintenance. The material used in the construction of this motor is not affected by soluble oils and acids and therefore the motor will perform well even in the worst conditions. The motor is equipped with two of those for the protection of the motor from being compromised by an overload. Some of these thermoswitches are employed to monitor the temperature of the motor and stop supplying power in case the temperature exceeds the recommended levels and thus protect the motor.
Every MAC motor is equipped with a tachometer and the motor has the incremental or the absolute encoder to give the feedback and control. This feature enables the motor to meet the requirements of the various applications thus enhancing flexibility.
