Product Description:

Naturally-cooled AC motors provide several advantages for industrial systems and applications. Primarily, since naturally-cooled AC motors do not incorporate fans or liquid systems, the dimensions of the motor remain compact. For industrial applications, keeping the motor as compact as possible gives more room to add crucial components and loads. Furthermore, since naturally-cooled motors are generally lighter, installing them in the first place is way easier than installing surface-cooled motors. Some of the best AC motors that use natural cooling belong to Rexroth's MAC AC motor product line. Under the MAC motor product line, the MAC112B-0-LD-1-B/130-B-1/-I01000/S009 originated, featuring a rated motor speed of 2000 rpm.

The MAC112B-0-LD-1-B/130-B-1/-I01000/S009 has a maximum torque rating of 64 Nm. Since it uses natural cooling, its standstill torque is 17.5 Nm. Depending on the drive DC voltage, the breaking point of the MAC112B-0-LD-1-B/130-B-1/-I01000/S009 varies. For AC motors, the breaking point is the point in the torque-speed curve at which the motor's torque output starts to decline from the maximum. For lower values of speed, the motor's torque is at maximum. When the drive voltage is 90% the rated voltage, the MAC112B-0-LD-1-B/130-B-1/-I01000/S009's breaking point is around 1800 rpm. At nominal drive voltage, the breaking point is 2300 rpm, while at 110% rated voltage, the machine's breaking point is 2300 rpm.

Aside from the machine's breaking points, Rexroth's manual for MAC AC motors also provides the permissible radial load curves for the MAC112B-0-LD-1-B/130-B-1/-I01000/S009. At 2000 rpm, the rotor can withstand a maximum radial force of 2400 N. When the load is 60 mm away and the rotor runs at the rated speed, the permissible radial force goes down to 1850 N. Finally, the maximum axial force for the MAC112B-0-LD-1-B/130-B-1/-I01000/S009 is 840 N, which is 35% the maximum radial force.
