The MAC093C-1-DS-3-C/110-B-0 from Rexroth is an AC motor designed to be used as a spindle motor. This particular configuration of the motor does not feature an encoder for tracking the shaft; however, it does feature a second shaft end on the rear where users can attach an external encoder, turning it into a servo motor. This motor features an Axial blower fan that has an IP rating of IP 44, protecting it from moisture and small dust particles. The motor itself has a rating of IP 65, protecting it against harsh industrial environments.
This AC motor can reach a speed of up to 4000 rotations per minute and provide a standstill torque rating of 19.5 Nm while drawing a current of 48 Amperes. At 20 degrees Celsius, this motor has a torque constant of 0.413 Nm per Ampere of current. This motor has an efficient design with a winding resistance of 0.089 ohms which is very low; however, it might increase in the future due to continuous operation or because of heavy load and power dissipation.
