The MAC093C-0-KS-4-C/110-A-2/WA612XX is part of the MAC AC servo motors from Rexroth. This servo motor has a diameter of 93 mm with a frame length C. The motor can reach a speed of up to 2000 rpm, which makes it great for low-speed applications, as this motor is particularly designed for high torque applications with a maximum standstill torque of 19.5 Nm which allows the motors to draw around 20 Amperes of current. Since it draws such a high current, it is recommended to use an efficient power supply capable of delivering such high current values to prevent damage to the motor due to undercurrent conditions.
To help stop the shaft from moving from its place, the MAC093C-0-KS-4-C/110-A-2/WA612XX features a 14 Nm blocking brake which requires 24 volts DC to operate and has a release time of 1.4 ms, while it can clamp the axle of the motor with a delay of 1.7 ms, which is still quick enough to keep the position of the shaft accurate. This brake not only helps by keeping the position of the shaft stationary but also ensures that no load on the motor's shaft end moves suddenly, causing damage to the nearby area.
The incremental encoder on this AC servo motor has a maximum sampling frequency of 75000 samples per second, which helps ensure high accuracy. The encoder operates between 10 to 16 volts DC and generates square wave pulses that help the encoder read each square wave as an increment. Once 2048 increments are achieved, a complete rotation is registered in the control module or the memory of the MAC093C-0-KS-4-C/110-A-2/WA612XX.
