Rexroth’s famous MAC AC motor series provides different options for cooling. For rigorous applications, surface-cooled MAC motors offer better temperature regulation at the cost of higher stall characteristics. For most purposes, Rexroth’s non-surface-cooled motors offer good driving capabilities with little risk of overheating. Although Rexroth’s naturally-cooled motors do not incorporate mounted fans, they facilitate efficient cooling via air convection. The MAC093C-0-13S-3-C/110-B-0 is an example of a MAC motor that uses natural convection to lower motor temperature when in use. This motor model incorporates no blocking brake and works at a wide ambient temperature range, particularly between 0 and 45 C.
