The MAC motor series by Rexroth is a highly-regarded class of motors that provide rapid-response and powerful driving capabilities for different purposes. Under this esteemed motor family, the MAC093B-2-JS-3-C/110-A-1 originated. Boasting a powerful 093-motor frame and a standard blocking brake, this motor model has impressive capabilities that cater well to numerous applications. At a nominal shaft speed of 3000 rpm, the MAC093B-2-JS-3-C/110-A-1 offers a high base speed appropriate for driving spindles, drills, compressors, and other machines.
To aid engineers and other qualified personnel in designing the motor’s protection system, Rexroth’s MAC093 datasheet provides the values for both the motor’s standstill torque and current. For MAC093 motors with the JS winding designation, the corresponding stall torque and current values are 14.5 Nm and 27 A, respectively. However, since the MAC093B-2-JS-3-C/110-A-1 employs surface cooling, the stall torque and current increase to 18.3 Nm and 34 A, respectively. This motor model facilitates surface cooling through its axially mounted fans that take in a 115-volt supply. During operation, increasing the motor’s input current by one ampere increases the output torque by 0.554 Nm. At peak power conditions, this motor model’s current may reach a maximum value of 134 A.
The MAC093B-2-JS-3-C/110-A-1 has a 110-mm centering diameter and a second shaft end that may be connected with an encoder to monitor and adjust motor parameters during operation.
