The MAC090C-1-GD-4-C/110-B-1/DI524LV/S014 is a model of the MAC AC servo motors designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. Its tacho feedback with an incremental motor encoder detects its rotor position and velocity with impressive precision. This encoder with shock-damped mounting is compatible with Indramat motors and is extremely resistant to harsh environmental conditions. Like other motors in the MAC series, this model is equipped with lifetime-lubricated bearings having an estimated service life of 30,000 operating hours. The use of such bearings reduces the risk of damage due to contamination and the downtime associated with relubrication. Surface cooling is used for heat dissipation during the motor’s operation with the aid of mounted axial units.
According to DIN 40 050, the Ingress Protection rating of the MAC090C-1-GD-4-C/110-B-1/DI524LV/S014 is IP 65. Its housing is built to prevent the ingress of solid extrinsic materials and water jets sprayed at it from different directions. Such a design permits the motor’s use directly within the working area of the machine, even under poor environmental conditions. It is coated with a black prime varnish protecting it from the potentially harmful effects of weathering, yellowing and chalky build-ups. The coat also displays some resistance to diluted acids and lyes. This MAC model can reach a nominal speed of 3,000 rpm. Its rotor is composed of permanent magnets made from rare-earth materials to give low inertia for a highly dynamic performance.
