The MAC090C-1-GD-3-C/110-B-0/S005 is a model of the low-inertia AC servo motors in the MAC series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. Its low inertia results from the use of rare-earth materials in the permanent magnets of its rotor. These materials have an excellent magnetic energy product and generate high magnetic fields that give the motor a higher motor performance and power density. The motor’s low inertia increases its efficiency and improves its overall cycle times. Like other MAC motors, the housing of this model is sealed, meeting the demands of the IP 65 protection category in line with DIN 40 050. Its power, encoder, and tacho feedback cables also correspond to this Ingress Protection rating. This is why it can be used directly within the working area of the machine, even under poor environmental conditions.

Equipped with tacho feedback and a second shaft end, the rotor position and velocity in the MAC090C-1-GD-3-C/110-B-0/S005 can be detected and evaluated. Additional components like encoders can be mounted onto this shaft end. The MAC motor’s brushless design enhances its operational reliability since there are fewer points of failure. It also reduces maintenance requirements and allows more precise control of the motor’s speed and position.
