MAC090C-0-KD-4-C/110-B-1/WI517LX/S001 is an AC servo motor. It is made by Bosch Rexroth for industrial applications such as textiles, robotics, machine tools and printing presses. MAC motors made with permanent magnets. These low inertia motors are ideal for applications requiring fast response times and low energy consumption. MAC motors use electronic commutation for current switching. This commutation technology utilizes solid-state electronics instead of carbon brushes used in older motors. Brushed motors required periodic replacement of the carbon brushes. Brushed motors also suffered from sparking, which prevented their use in explosive atmospheres. Electronic commutation solves both these problems, improving motor reliability and safety. MAC motors support purpose-built tacho feedback technology for speed and position evaluation. These motors support an optional encoder for position evaluation. MAC090C-0-KD-4-C/110-B-1/WI517LX/S001 is a motor with the additional encoder. It is also equipped with a 6.5 Nm standard blocking brake. This brake engages the main motor shaft and releases it only after application of a 24 Volts DC electrical release signal. Current draw of the brake is 0.7 Amps. Its release delay is 60 milliseconds and its clamping delay is 20 milliseconds. The motor has 110 millimeters centering diameter. Its weight is 23 kilograms and its length is 407 millimeters. This convection cooled motor requires 0 to 45 degrees Celsius ambient temperature. Derated operation is allowed up to 55 degrees Celsius, at which temperature the output derates by 20%. The power cable connects to a power connection on the motor hosing. Operators can select the location of the power connection at the time of ordering. A separate feedback connection is available on the motor. Connectors for the power and feedback cables must be ordered separately.
