The MAC090B-0-PD-4-C-110-B-0-WI520LV-S001 is part of the MAC Series by Indramat Bosch Rexroth. It is an AC Servo motor that is integrated with a number of unique features. One of the most impressive features is the holding brake. The holding brake allows for clamping (holding into place) the output shaft when at standstill. This ensures that you achieve a safe axis standstill even if the power is OFF. It is important to note that the MAC Series are available with or without a holding brake.
The MAC090B-0-PD-4-C-110-B-0-WI520LV-S001 also comes with an output shaft that is available in two designs that are completely different. The first design is as a plain shaft for shaft-hub connections that are non-positive. The second design is shafts with keyways for shaft-hub connections that are form-fitting. The MAC 090 and 112 motors come with a special windings design for achieving a high level of smooth operation. It is very suitable for use in precision lathes and grinding machines. You must designate in type code field 5 with a ‘G’. Here, you should use the tacho design with improved smooth run as motor feedback (type code field 6 with an ‘F’).
The encoder, tachometer feedback and power cables are connected directly to the AC Servo motor using connectors of the equivalent flanged sockets. To ensure the sides of the MAC090B-0-PD-4-C-110-B-0-WI520LV-S001 are labeled clearly and do not confuse, they have been attached. The MAC Series are protected by the housing and covers, which comply with DIN 40 050 guidelines in construction design. This means that they are protected against water or extrinsic objects penetration, and contact with alive or moving (contact guards) motor parts. The protection category is laid down by IP and two numbers for the protection type i.e., IP 65.
