Product Description:

Weighing about 12.5 kilograms, the MAC090A-0-ZD-4-C/110-A-1/WR257XX combines portability and reliability in one motor housing. Although considered relatively small motors, Rexroth's MAC090 motors are powerful in their own right. The MAC090A-0-ZD-4-C/110-A-1/WR257XX has a ZD winding type classification and a standard blocking brake, capable of delivering a holding torque of about 6.5 Nm. Like most motors produced by Rexroth from the MAC AC servo series line, the MAC090A-0-ZD-4-C/110-A-1/WR257XX has a thermal time constant of 45 minutes. This long thermal constant allows the motor to operate longer without drastic temperature fluctuations. This motor model does not come with axial or radial fans for surface cooling, but its excellent housing construction allows it to cool efficiently via natural convection.

As with any AC motor, the winding impedance impacts circuit design and system construction. The winding impedance impacts how much current will flow on the motor’s armature, which in turn affects the developed power of the motor. For the MAC090A-0-ZD-4-C/110-A-1/WR257XX, Rexroth’s manual specifies both the inductance and resistance of the windings to be 1.9 mH and 1.85 ohms, respectively. Getting the magnitude of the sum of the winding's resistance and reactance will yield the motor’s impedance. The formula for getting the reactance of the motor is dependent on the system frequency and is described as the product of the constant 2 (pi), frequency, and winding reactance

The MAC090A-0-ZD-4-C/110-A-1/WR257XX operates at a nominal speed of 2000 revolutions per minute and a rotor moment of inertia of 0.002 kg (m^2). During the starting period, a high inrush current flows through the motor, which is 6 to 12 times higher than the standstill current. In particular, for the MAC090A-0-ZD-4-C/110-A-1/WR257XX, the maximum pulse current is 53 A.
