Designed to be controlled with TDM, KDS, and DSC drive controllers, the MAC090A-0-RD-3-C/110-A-2/S024 is an AC servo motor designed for high-torque industrial applications. This AC servo motor can produce a speed of up to 3000 rpm when under normal conditions with a rotor moment inertia of 20 x 10-4 kgm2. The motor also has a low winding resistance of 0.56 ohms when the motor reaches a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius reducing the overall power loss and making the motor efficient overall.
The MAC090A-0-RD-3-C/110-A-2/S024 AC servo motor has an IP 65 protection rating protecting it from dust particles entering the enclosure and also protecting the internals from moisture or water jets. The enclosure of this motor has a Black prime coat with the RAL color code of 9005. It weighs 12.5 kilograms which makes it heavy-duty but not portable. The motor also has a heavy-duty blocking brake with a blocking torque of 14 Nm and requires 24 volts DC with 10% variation to operate and draws approximately 0.7 amperes of current.
To track the shaft position the MAC090A-0-RD-3-C/110-A-2/S024 has a double shaft opening in the rear which allows the user to attach an encoder of their choice while powering it using the motor's power connector. This particular model is designed to support incremental-type encoders. The motor also has the S024 special configuration which allows this motor to have a shaft sealing to prevent moisture and dust from entering the front of the motor. To connect the power cord this motor has the power connector placed on side A of the motor which is the front of the motor towards the shaft.
