The Rexroth MAC090A-0-RD-3-C/110-A-1/S010 from Bosch is a Rapid Response AC Servo motor part of their MAC series lineup. This AC servo motor is part of the MAC-090 design with a motor size of 090 and Length A. This AC servo motor has a speed rating of 3000 rotations per minute when working under nominal conditions and can provide a standstill torque of up to 3.5 Nm while drawing a current of up to 11.4 Amperes making it suitable for robotics and other industrial applications.
The Rexroth MAC090A-0-RD-3-C/110-A-1/S010 uses the natural convection cooling method, using its body to cool down its temperature. The motor has a Thermal Time constant of 45 minutes allowing the motor to reach a stable operating temperature within 45 minutes of operation. This motor requires an ambient temperature between 0 degrees Celsius and 45 degrees Celsius for operation and should only be stored in an environment where the temperature is between -20 degrees Celsius and 80 degrees Celsius to increase its longevity.
This motor features a Tacho feedback system with a second shaft end where the user can also attach their own second encoder for increased accuracy and this shaft end is IP 65 protected to prevent dust and moisture from entering the rear of the motor. To stop the motor from rotating its shaft the MAC090A-0-RD-3-C/110-A-1/S010 features a 6.5 Nm blocking brake which requires 24 Volts DC to operate. The blocking brake has a release delay of 60 ms while the clamping delay is approximately 20 ms to stop the motor from rotating once the power is cut off or a stop control signal is applied.
