The magnets present in the servo motor are made up of materials which makes it possible for the motor to maintain a low inertia during operation. The electronic commutation of the servo motor allows it to undergo continuous start-stop operation at a high repeat frequency. The nominal speed of this industrial servo motor during operation is about 6000 revolutions per minute, however when the motor is at a standstill it operates at a continuous input current of 11 amperes, and generates a continuous torque of about 3.5 newton meters.
