Product Description:
MAC041B-0-BS-4-E/050-A-1/WI652LV is a compact MAC series servo motor from Bosch Rexroth. This motor has an IP65 rated housing. IP ratings indicate the level of protection against solid and liquid ingress. The first digit of the rating, in this case 6, indicates that the motor is safe from dust ingress. The second digit of the rating, in this case 5, indicates that the motor is safe from low-pressure jets of water. This is an excellent level of ingress protection, which when combined with IP65 rated cable connections, ensures robust operating reliability for MAC motors. With this protection, operators can install and operate MAC motors in different operating conditions. MAC motors are, however, not suitable for use in explosive atmospheres. The MAC041B-0-BS-4-E/050-A-1/WI652LV motor is equipped with a tacho generator and an optional absolute/incremental encoder for feedback.
Feedback is an essential component for closed loop control systems. It allows motor controllers to precisely and accurately control motor parameters, such as speed, torque and position. Control algorithms use real-time feedback to determine the amount of change required in the AC output amplitude/frequency to bring motor parameters in line with configured values. Nominal speed of the MAC041B-0-BS-4-E/050-A- 1/WI652LV motor is 6000 RPM. The rated torque is 1.35 Nm and the peak torque (available for 300 milliseconds) is 5.2 Nm. It takes 19 milliseconds for the motor to accelerate from zero to peak RPM, and 15 milliseconds for the motor to decelerate from peak to zero RPM. The motor rotor’s moment of inertia is 1.3 kg cm2. Rated output is possible when the ambient temperature is between 0 and 45 degrees Celsius and when the site elevation is less than 1000 meters.
