LTU Servo Amplifiers

The LTU servo amplifier series is designed as a system component that supplies power to and controls an ErgoSpin tightening spindle/handheld nutrunner, with the servo amplifier regulating both speed and current during operation.

It is intended for installation in a BT356 card rack or SB35x system box and provides the motor’s power supply, logic supply, and interface-signal transmission through a dedicated spindle connector interface. Operator feedback and diagnostics are handled through a front LC display and multi-color LED status indicators, with the display capable of showing tightening results such as torque, angle, gradient, time, and error codes. Electrically, the unit operates from an intermediate DC link in the 160–320 VDC range and generates a three-phase motor output of 0–230 VAC with an output frequency up to 1000 Hz, with achievable rated/peak current dependent on the connected motor up to 12 A / 50 A. For cabinet integration, it is specified with IP20 protection when installed, defined ambient limits (including operation up to 55 °C with fan), and a defined maximum motor line length of 100 m.
