The KVR1.3-30-3 is a power supply module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the KVR Power Supply Modules series. The unit converts three-phase mains energy into a regulated DC link for Indramat drive controllers while also distributing the low-voltage supplies required by servo electronics and I/O. It is intended for coordinated drive systems that use a shared DC bus architecture. By combining infeed, auxiliary supply, and braking circuitry in one enclosure, the module supports synchronized axis groups, conveyors, and material-handling robots in medium-power automation cells.

It delivers a continuous infeed capability of 30 kW, and when transient machine sequences demand extra energy, the module can provide peak infeed power of 90 kW. The DC link is held at 320 VDC, forming the common bus for connected drives. For control electronics, the device provides a +24 V rail that can source 11 A, plus symmetrical ±15 V outputs rated at 2.0 A each for analog sensor or resolver cards. These auxiliary outputs support interface and feedback circuits that depend on stable internal supply voltage. Electronic supervisory circuits consume 500 VA, and the integral cooling fan draws 70 VA from the internal supply. Operating losses are split between 480 W of external cabinet dissipation and 170 W developed inside the housing, which helps determine panel ventilation requirements.

During regenerative deceleration, the module channels energy back to the mains at a continuous rate of 20 kW; bursts above this level are absorbed by an internal bleeder rated for 40 kW peak. The energy store can accept up to 100 kWs per braking event, allowing frequent high-inertia stops without overvoltage trips. Installation is permitted at sites up to 1000 m above sea level, and the IP10 housing requires mounting inside a protected control cabinet. With a mass of 31 kg, the unit may require panel reinforcement and suitable lifting equipment during installation.
