The KVR 1.1-30-3 power supply module is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the KVR Power Supply Modules series. It converts a three-phase AC mains feed into a controlled DC link that supports multiple Indramat drive controllers. In addition, the unit channels braking energy back into the supply network, so it replaces separate regenerative resistors in automated conveyor, packaging, and machining cells. By incorporating rectification, DC regulation, and energy feedback in one chassis, the module streamlines panel layout and minimizes external wiring.

The module accepts a three-phase input rated at 3 × AC 380…480 V and operates with line frequencies of 50…60 Hz, so it can be installed on common European and North American plant supplies without an additional transformer. Because the mains side is 3-Phase AC, current is balanced across all lines, which reduces conductor heating and harmonics. On the DC side, the device can deliver 24 kW of continuous power to the shared bus, while its internal regenerative path allows up to 20 kW of braking energy to flow back toward the grid. Direct mains connection further shortens installation time and decreases cabinet footprint.

Within the DC link, the voltage is kept regulated at a nominal 320 V, ensuring that downstream inverters receive a stable intermediate circuit during load surges or regeneration. The link circuit is sized for 30 kW of continuous power flow, matching the aggregate demand of several servo axes in high-duty applications. When braking energy exceeds that capacity, the integrated control enables mains regeneration, exporting surplus power to the plant feeders instead of dissipating it as heat. This stabilized topology improves drive response, supports tighter speed control, and minimizes the need for external braking resistors.
