It combines a brushless servo motor, power electronics, and a fieldbus interface in one enclosure, allowing installation close to the machine axis and reducing control cabinet wiring. In distributed automation lines, this layout provides position, speed, and torque control at the point of use, which supports coordinated motion on packaging, handling, and transfer equipment without a separate drive rack. Because the inverter electronics are mounted with the motor, cable runs between the drive and axis stay short and installation remains compact.
The unit is powered from a DC 750 V shared bus and receives all power, logic, and network conductors through a single Hybrid Connector. Heat generated by the power stage is removed by natural convection, so no forced-air or liquid cooling hardware is required around the housing. The device is supplied without a holding brake, follows design option Standard and design version 1, carries series index 2, and does not include integrated safety circuits, so external safety hardware is required when that function is needed.
