Product Description:
The KSM02.1B-071C-35N-M1-HG2-ET-S3-D7-NN-FW is a motor-integrated servo drive from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the KSM Motor Integrated Servo Drives series. By placing the power electronics and communication hardware directly on the motor housing, the unit supports decentralized axis control in material-handling cells, packaging stations, and other distributed automation equipment. This arrangement reduces separate cabinet wiring and keeps the drive package compact near the moving axis. It also supports closed-loop positioning and torque control for applications that require accurate, repeatable motion.
This drive accepts a bus voltage of DC 750 V and routes power, feedback, and fieldbus connections through a Hybrid Connector that simplifies cabling. Heat is removed by natural convection, so no fans or liquid cooling circuits are required. The service brake is electrically released and engages when its DC 24 V coil is de-energized, allowing the axis to be held at standstill. Position feedback is transferred through the Hiperface interface, while motion commands reach the unit through Multi-Ethernet communication that supports PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, or EtherCAT. The unit is series 2 and version 1, and it uses motor size 071 with length C and winding code 35.
An optical encoder delivers 128 signal periods per revolution for interpolation, and its Multi-turn absolute design preserves position data through power cycles. Integrated Safe Motion (without SBC) functions support controlled-stop and limited-speed operation under PL-d safety requirements without extra external hardware. The motor has a plain shaft with a factory seal, which suits direct coupling while helping protect the shaft opening. It is built with the standard design and a basic performance level, making it suitable for compact robots, indexing tables, and gantry axes that need accurate motion in a compact drive layout.
