Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the KSM02.1B-071C-35N-M1-HG0-ET-S3-D7-TO-FW as part of the KSM Motor Integrated Servo Drives series. By combining a synchronous motor with onboard power stage and control electronics, the unit performs closed-loop positioning and speed regulation directly on the machine frame. This arrangement trims cabinet space in automated cells and material-handling systems.
The drive runs from a DC 750 V intermediate circuit, so it can connect to a common DC link supplied by modular inverters. All motor power, fieldbus, safety, and feedback lines are consolidated through a single Hybrid Connector, which shortens wiring and reduces connection complexity. Heat is removed solely by natural convection, eliminating fans that add noise or require maintenance. Rotor position is measured by an optical encoder that communicates over Hiperface; the scale delivers 128 signal periods per revolution and provides multi-turn absolute data, so shaft angle remains available after power-up. A plain shaft is sealed against dust and fluid ingress, and a shaft seal is fitted at the output flange. The motor is supplied without a holding brake, so external mechanical restraints are needed when power-off torque retention is required.
For network access, the unit carries a Multi-Ethernet output coupling that supports EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, EtherCAT, and Sercos III, allowing use with different controller platforms. Functional safety is handled locally through Safe Motion (without SBC), which supports safe torque off and safe stop without extra cables. Within the KSM family, this model has motor size 071 and uses length code C to balance torque with installation depth. Drive-to-stator matching is completed by winding code 35, which sets the current constant and thermal behavior for rated output in continuous industrial duty.
