Product Description:
The KSM02.1B-041C-42N-S3-HG0-ET-L3-D7-ES-FW is a motor-integrated servo drive produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the KSM Motor Integrated Servo Drives series. By combining a permanent-magnet motor, power stage, and control electronics in one enclosure, this device enables decentralized motion axes on packaging machines, handling systems, and general automation lines while shortening cable runs. It is built with motor size 041 and length C, giving moderate torque output for mid-range positioning duties. The integrated layout also places the drive electronics close to the driven axis, which supports compact machine sections and reduces the need for separate cabinet-mounted amplifier hardware.
The drive accepts a direct-current bus of DC 750 V, allowing direct connection to IndraDrive power supplies. Motor, encoder, and DC lines enter through a single Hybrid Connector, reducing panel wiring on conveyor or gantry axes. Heat is removed by natural convection, eliminating fans and permitting installation where airflow is limited. Position feedback is provided through a Hiperface interface that delivers sine-cosine signals with an internal resolution of 16 signal periods. The device is delivered as design version 1 and Series 2, uses winding code 42, and communicates over Multi-Ethernet to support EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT.
The encoder hardware uses a Capacitive measuring principle and reports absolute position within a Single-turn cycle. This arrangement is suitable for rotary axes that operate within one mechanical revolution and do not require multi-turn position retention. For functional safety, the drive provides Safe Torque Off (STO), which removes energy from the motor windings without extra contactors. A plain shaft is supplied, so torque is transferred by clamp or press-fit couplings. The shaft seal helps block coolant or dust, and the unit is supplied without a holding brake, so static load support must come from external mechanics or drive torque. The external option enables parameter access through Multi-Ethernet.
