Product Description:
The KSM02.1B-041C-42N-S1-HG0-ET-S3-D7-TO-FW is a motor-integrated servo drive manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the KSM Motor Integrated Servo Drives series. Series 2 and design version 1 identify the product generation used for this drive type. By combining drive electronics, fieldbus interfaces, and a synchronous motor in one enclosure, the device supports decentralized axes on conveyors, packaging stations, and pick-and-place cells while reducing panel space. It provides position and torque control for industrial automation systems that require a compact drive and motor arrangement.
A regulated bus supply of DC 750 V energizes the power stage so the winding code 42 stator can deliver its rated torque without an onboard rectifier. Heat produced during operation is removed through natural convection, which eliminates the need for fans and allows installation in tight machine frames. Power, network, and feedback conductors terminate through a single Hybrid Connector, which simplifies cable routing. Rotor angle is measured by a Hiperface optical encoder that provides 128 signal periods per mechanical revolution, supporting stable servo stiffness and fine low-speed control. The encoder is single-turn, so absolute position is available within one mechanical revolution.
The mechanical output uses a plain shaft with a shaft seal, which helps protect against dust and splashing liquid. Functional safety is provided by the built-in Safe Motion package, allowing monitored safety functions without an additional safety bus coupler. Because the unit is supplied without a holding brake, static load retention must be handled by external locking or drive torque. The motor size is 041 with length C, which suits compact feed axes that need moderate motion capacity. Multi-Ethernet communication allows EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and EtherCAT networks to command the drive through a common RJ45 connection.
