Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat’s KSM02.1B-041C-42N-M3-HG2-ET-L3-D7-TO-FW belongs to the KSM Motor Integrated Servo Drives series and combines the motor, power electronics, and network interface in one housing. The unit serves as a distributed servo axis, reducing cabinet space and shortening feedback paths in automated assembly cells, conveyors, and robotic tooling. Its integrated layout supports decentralized motion control in machine sections where compact installation and short cable runs are especially important.
The drive accepts a supply bus of DC 750 V and routes both motor power and control signals through a single Hybrid Connector, which simplifies installation along machine frames. Its master interface supports Multi-Ethernet communication, and the design also provides output coupling so downstream axes can share the same network branch. Position feedback is transferred through a Hiperface link that works with a Capacitive multi-turn sensor with 16 signal periods of resolution, enabling precise synchronization without optical components. Thermal management relies on natural convection, so no external fans are required. For functional safety, an integrated Safe Torque Off (STO) channel disconnects the power devices when it receives a logic-level command.
The mechanical package includes an electrically released holding brake energized by DC 24 V to secure vertical loads during power loss. The unit is Series 2 with design version 1. Frame code 041, motor length C, and winding code 42 place the unit in a compact size range for basic-performance duties. A plain shaft with a factory-installed seal helps prevent lubricant escape and blocks airborne contaminants at the coupling interface. This arrangement is suitable for vertical or guarded axes that need reliable load holding after power is removed.
