Product Description:
The KSM02.1B-041C-42N-M3-HG0-ET-NN-D7-TO-FW is a motor-integrated servo drive from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the KSM Motor Integrated Servo Drives series. It combines a permanent-magnet synchronous motor, power electronics, and network interfaces in one housing to provide decentralized motion control for conveyors, handling axes, and similar equipment. Mounting the drive directly on the machine helps reduce cabinet space and shortens the wiring path between the controller and the motor section. This layout is useful in automated systems where compact installation and distributed axis control are required.
The drive is designed for a DC bus of DC 750 V, which supports shared-bus installations across multiple axes. A single Hybrid Connector carries power, fieldbus, and feedback lines, so the unit uses one main connection point instead of separate plugs for each interface. Heat from the inverter section is removed through natural convection, eliminating the need for fans or liquid cooling channels. Feedback is transmitted over a Hiperface link to a position sensor that uses capacitive scanning. The sensor resolves 16 signal periods per revolution and stores multi-turn information, allowing absolute position recovery after power cycling without a homing move.
On the control side, the unit supports the Multi-Ethernet protocol stack, so it can communicate with control systems that use Sercos III, EtherNet/IP, or PROFINET. Winding code 42 is paired with frame size 041 and motor length C, which places the drive in a compact mechanical format within the series. Mechanical output is delivered through a plain shaft, and a shaft seal is fitted for basic dust protection. The module is supplied without a holding brake, so vertical loads must be secured by external means when the axis is at standstill.
