Product Description:
The KSM02.1B-041C-42N-M1-HP2-ET-S3-D7-TO-FW is a motor-integrated servo drive manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the KSM Motor Integrated Servo Drives series. It combines the inverter stage, control electronics, and permanent-magnet motor in one enclosure to reduce cabinet wiring and support decentralized motion control near the axis. The unit uses frame size 041 with motor length C and is assigned to the basic performance level, which suits compact pick-and-place axes, light conveyors, and assembly tooling. It is design version 1 and series 2, so the drive and motor functions are integrated without a separate panel-mounted amplifier.
In operation, the drive relies on natural convection for thermal management, so the ribbed housing must remain in a free-air path. A hybrid connector carries the incoming bus at DC 750 V together with control lines, which reduces the number of separate cable entries. Position data is produced by an optical multi-turn absolute encoder that communicates through Hiperface and provides 128 signal periods per mechanical revolution, enabling precise interpolation in the drive. Command and diagnostic traffic flow through the Multi-Ethernet interface, which supports real-time network integration with compatible control systems. Winding code 42 is matched to the integrated electronics for the motor’s current profile.
For standstill holding, the axis incorporates an electrically released brake that engages automatically whenever DC power is removed, and its coil is energized from a DC 24 V control supply. Torque reaches the load through a shaft with a keyway, and a shaft seal is fitted to limit contamination ingress. Integrated Safe Motion functions are provided without SBC and support safe torque off, safe stop, and limited speed operation.
