It is comprised of two parts namely a servo motor and drive electronics which include the power and controls sections. The drive comes with optional features including the safe torque off (STO) safety feature and an electrically releasing motor holding brake. The STO safety feature ensures that the motor cannot be started until the STO is removed. A holding brake is intended to stop motor shafts from starting up from standstill.
