Product Description:
The KSM02.1B-041C-42N-M1-HG2-ET-SD-D7-TO-FW is a motor-integrated servo drive manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the KSM Motor Integrated Servo Drives series. By merging a 041 frame synchronous motor, the power stage, and the fieldbus interface in one enclosure, it simplifies decentralized axis installation in packaging, handling, or assembly machines. The product delivers closed-loop torque, speed, and position control without a separate cabinet-mounted inverter, which reduces wiring and helps save space on modular production lines. Because the inverter electronics are mounted directly on the motor, the axis can be placed closer to the moving machine section instead of relying on long motor cable runs.
This unit is powered from a DC 750 V shared supply that enters through a Hybrid Connector carrying power, feedback, and safety conductors. Heat is dissipated by natural convection, so no fan is required. Position data are generated by an optical encoder that provides 128 signal periods per revolution over the Hiperface interface, and its multi-turn absolute design retains position information after power loss. This arrangement supports precise commutation and position control during repeated start-stop cycles. Winding code 42 is paired with the C length, and the unit is supplied with basic performance level electronics, Series 2, and design version 1. A plain shaft with a factory-installed seal helps limit dust or coolant entry at the motor nose.
Load holding on vertical axes is provided by an electrically released brake. The brake operates at DC 24 V and engages when its coil is de-energized. Integrated safety includes Safe Motion (with SBC), which monitors speed or standstill without extra relays. For controller connectivity, the drive offers Multi-Ethernet output coupling and supports EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, PROFINET, and SERCOS III. The unit also uses a multi-Ethernet master channel for real-time communication between the control system and the decentralized axis.
