Product Description:
The KSM02.1B-041C-42N-M1-HG2-ET-SD-D7-NN-FW is a motor-integrated servo drive built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and part of the KSM Motor Integrated Servo Drives series. By combining a permanent-magnet servo motor with drive electronics in a single housing, it reduces panel space and wiring in distributed automation. With frame size 041 and length C, the unit mounts directly to machinery and provides decentralized motion control for coordinated axes in packaging, handling, and assembly systems.
The drive operates from a DC 750 V intermediate circuit supplied by a central power supply module. Position feedback is handled through a Hiperface interface, and the optical encoder delivers 128 signal periods per revolution in a multi-turn absolute system, allowing the controller to track shaft angle and the number of turns without homing. Heat generated by the power stage is removed through natural convection, so no additional fans are required. All power, brake, and communication conductors enter the housing through a single Hybrid Connector, which reduces cable runs and helps keep installation compact.
At the network level, the unit supports Multi-Ethernet communication, enabling direct connection to EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT networks without external converters. Load holding on vertical axes is provided by an electrically released brake powered by DC 24 V; when supply voltage is removed, the spring-applied mechanism locks the shaft. Integrated safety follows the Safe Motion (with SBC) profile, allowing speed-limited or torque-limited states to be triggered through the safety bus. The plain shaft has a factory-installed shaft seal that helps prevent lubricant leakage and protects the internal bearings during washdown or dusty operation. The unit is the Standard version with a Basic performance level.
