This motor-integrated servo drive combines a permanent-magnet servo motor with onboard power electronics, allowing motion control hardware to be mounted directly on the machine frame instead of inside the cabinet. Placing the inverter and motor in one assembly helps reduce cabinet space and shortens the distance between power conversion and the mechanical load. It is intended for conveyor sections, pick-and-place modules, and small tooling axes.
The drive operates from a DC 750 V bus and carries power, feedback, and fieldbus lines through a single Hybrid Connector, which reduces external wiring. Because power, feedback, and communication share one entry point, cable routing stays compact around the axis. Heat generated by the internal inverter is removed by natural convection, so no fans or liquid circuits are required in IP-rated enclosures. Position feedback is provided as a single-turn absolute signal with 128 signal periods per mechanical revolution, which is suitable for typical indexing and short-stroke movements. That feedback format supports repeatable position detection within one revolution without requiring multi-turn tracking. A shaft with keyway transmits torque to pulleys or gear sets, while the integral shaft seal helps protect the front bearing from coolant splash. The unit is revision 2 and is supplied without a holding brake, so the machine must hold position by external means when power is removed.
