Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat developed the KSM01.2B-071C-35N-M1-HP0-SE-NN-D7-NN-FW, a motor-integrated servo drive positioned within the KSM Motor Integrated Servo Drives series. The design merges servomotor mechanics, drive inverter, and fieldbus electronics in one housing so machine builders can mount axes directly on moving gantries or inside compact modules without separate control cabinets. By eliminating motor-power and encoder extension cables, the device simplifies installation, reduces electromagnetic coupling issues, and shortens commissioning time in automated assembly, packaging, and material-handling equipment.
The drive links to the power and control bus through a Hybrid Connector, so DC supply, feedback, and network lines share one plug. Its power stage operates from a DC 750 V intermediate circuit that allows common-bus operation and regeneration. Heat is removed by Natural convection, eliminating fans and their maintenance. Position feedback reaches the controller via a Hiperface optical interface that resolves rotor rotation into 128 signal periods per mechanical revolution, which the firmware interpolates for precise regulation. Design version 2, hardware series 1, performance level Basic, and winding code 35 define the continuous electrical limits.
The encoder is a Multi-turn absolute device that records up to 4096 revolutions, maintaining position after power removal without battery support. Cycle-synchronous motion profiles are exchanged with the PLC over SERCOS 2 (RS422), permitting deterministic control and diagnostics on the same cable. Mechanical power is transmitted through a Shaft with keyway that is protected by an integral shaft seal against splash and dust. The motor follows length C and size 071 geometry and is supplied in the Standard design option. It ships without a holding brake and without safety technology, so external clamping or certified safe torque-off devices must be used when load arrest or personnel protection is required.
