Product Description:

The KDV1.3-100-115V supply module is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the KDV Supply Modules series. Within an Indramat drive lineup, this unit sits at the front of the DC bus, rectifying the incoming mains voltage, charging link capacitors, and feeding energy back to connected servo or spindle drives. It also houses a bleeder circuit that dissipates regenerated power so braking events do not overvolt the system. By merging rectification and logic power support in one housing, it streamlines cabinet wiring for multi-axis automation.

On the AC side, the module is rated for a nominal input of 220 V AC, which is rectified and smoothed to a DC link of 300 V DC available to the drives. Under continuous production load, it can deliver 100 A of bus current and, for braking or acceleration bursts lasting up to 300 ms, it supplies 300 A. This current capacity supports machines with a total demand of 30 kW of mechanical output. Internal losses are modest; only 150 W exits the housing as cabinet heat, and the design tolerates an additional 2000 W of external thermal load from adjacent hardware. Cooling is provided by an integral fan powered from the 115 V AC blower tap, drawing 15 VA, while a separate 500 VA auxiliary winding feeds interface electronics and motor contactors.

The regeneration channel is dimensioned to absorb process energy safely. Its bleeder resistor converts up to 2 kW of returned power continuously and withstands 40 kW in short peaks, provided the cumulative feedback does not exceed 60 kWs per braking event. For control electronics, the module furnishes a 24 V logic rail that can source 8 A with a permitted ripple of 10%, eliminating the need for a separate PLC power supply. Overall mass is 21 kg, so standard 35 mm cabinet rail supports are suitable when correct airflow spacing is maintained.
