Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the KDV 1.3-100-220-300-115 supply module for the KDV Supply Modules series. Intended for multi-axis automation racks, this unit converts line power into a stabilized DC bus and provides auxiliary low-voltage outputs needed by drive controllers and embedded electronics. Within an industrial cabinet, it functions as the common power backbone, distributing regulated energy and dissipating regenerative feedback from connected servo axes.

The primary input channel operates at a nominal input voltage of 220 VAC. Under that voltage, the rectifier bridges can deliver a continuous bus current of 100 A and withstand surges up to 300 A for 300 ms during motor acceleration. The rectified link is held at 300 VDC, matching the voltage window of Indramat drive controllers. An integrated bleeder resistor absorbs regenerative energy with a continuous dissipation capacity of 2 kW, preventing DC overvoltage while motors decelerate. Protection on the mains side is provided by a 25 A / 380 V semiconductor fuse. Auxiliary service sockets yield 500 VA for external control logic, while the internal fan circuit needs only 15 VA at 115 VAC to maintain component temperature. These provisions isolate ancillary loads from the main bus and help keep thermal rise predictable.

For short braking intervals, the same bleeder network can accept peaks of 40 kW, and the storage capacitors can absorb up to 60 kWs of kinetic feedback without derating other channels. Low-voltage terminals supply 24 V at 8 A and +15 V at 1.5 A for encoder reference, so sensors remain energized even when drives are disabled. Operation is permitted up to 1,000 m above sea level, and the open-frame IP10 housing allows convective airflow within enclosed racks. Total transport mass is 21 kg, which adds a notable static load to slide-in frames and cabinet supports.
