The KDV 1.2-100-220/300-220-W1 is a power supply unit manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the KDV Supply Modules series. In a multi-axis motion system, this module converts a single AC mains feed into a regulated DC bus that serves several connected drive controllers, and it also provides low-current branches for control electronics and internal cooling. By centralizing energy handling, it simplifies cabinet wiring and permits controlled regeneration from drives back to the common link.

The main DC link is maintained at 300 V DC, a fixed level that matches Indramat servo inverters and keeps their intermediate circuits within safe operating limits. Current draw on that bus can reach 100 A, which sets the thermal load on the copper bars and the rating of external disconnects. Protection on the logic section is provided by a 10 A / 250 V controller supply fuse, which isolates control boards from faults in the higher-energy stages. Cooling airflow is produced by an internal fan that runs directly from the incoming mains and is individually safeguarded with a 0.630 A / 250 V fuse, preventing a stalled impeller from causing a larger failure. For added safety, the module uses quick-acting fuses so faults clear before semiconductor devices are overstressed.

Downstream components receive localized protection through a 100 A / 380 V power section fuse that interrupts shorts on the high-energy side of the module. Two secondary outputs share a pair of 2 × 6.3 A / 250 V fuses, giving individual feeders for encoder supplies or brake release circuits. The mains interface expects 220 V AC, allowing the supply to be used on standard plant distribution without step-up conversion. These protection elements are packaged in the compact frame used in the KDV Supply Modules series, allowing the unit to slide into a common backplane alongside matching drive controllers.
