The KDF1.2-150-300-W1-115 is a high-performance variable frequency drive manufactured by the Rexroth Indramat Company. It is engineered to operate motors that have a horsepower of up to 25 hp (kW). This type enables unrestricted four-quadrant operation and positioning. It has a speed range from 0 to 8000 RPM. The lowest usable speed is dependent on the load variation that is at hand. Its design enables it to be used in conjunction with Indramat modular AC servo controllers while sharing a single power supply. It features differential analog command input allowing operation by any control system.
The KDF1.2-150-300-W1-115 provides exceptional speed control thanks to the microprocessor-based digital velocity loop. This is unlike other variable frequency drives that use variable frequency control. The digital velocity command mitigates drift which reduces the precision of the sped control proportional. When using zero RPM, there is considerable stiffness that allows the motor to resist any attempt to change speed via load variation. This means that peak system torque is achieved.
