KDA Series

KDA main spindle drive is a motorized device designed to drive the spindle of machine tools and provide accurate power and speed, while also ensuring precise machining.  Generally, KDA units find application in industries that require high-speed and high-precision drilling, milling, and cutting operations, such as automotive, aerospace, and medical equipment manufacturing. In the context of servos, the KDA main spindle drive integrates seamlessly with 1MB frameless spindle motors and 2AD asynchronous motors, ensuring precise torque and speed control, rapid acceleration/deceleration, and accurate position feedback.

Features such as high stiffness and extensive speed range with continuous power make KDA units particularly well-suited for use as spindle drives, including spindle positioning and C-axis operation, in numerically controlled machine tools. However, several operational issues may exist with KDA drives:

  • Inconsistent Speed Control: Improper calibration or synchronization with frameless spindle motors and asynchronous motors can result in inconsistent or unstable speed control and variations in machining accuracy and quality.

To begin the Rexroth Indramat KDA servo drive repair process, we’ll provide you with a repair card for merchandise return/fault protocol. You’ll be required to fill out diagnostic information such as fault status, failure cause (if known), and other relevant details.

After receiving the repair card and the defective KDA unit, our experts will take a systematic approach to fix the problem.
