It is installed in machine-tool control cabinets where it converts shared DC-link energy into precisely regulated three-phase output for high-speed spindles. In these systems, the drive serves as the power stage between the cabinet DC link and the spindle motor while responding to motion commands from the machine control. By coordinating acceleration, braking, and holding functions, the drive supports automated milling, drilling, and grinding stations while allowing the numerical control to maintain consistent cutting speeds under changing load conditions.
Its DC bus connection is rated at 300 VDC, meaning the drive draws stabilized direct current from the cabinet supply rather than rectifying its own mains input.
