Product Description:
KDA 3.2-150-3-D0I-W1 is a modular drive from Bosch Rexroth’s KDA spindle drive family. It is designed especially for the monitoring and control of servo motors from the 1MB and 2AD series. This drive is controlled by a microprocessor. Software and operation-related parameters are housing in a replaceable programming module. This module has a designated slot on the drive’s front panel. The contents of the module can be copied to other modules for rapid drive commissioning. If a working drive develops a fault and requires replacement, its programming module can be removed and installed in a replacement unit. In this way, KDA drives provide operators with a fast and reliable method for drive troubleshooting that ensures minimal downtime for efficient operations. Rated output current of the KDA 3.2-150-3-D0I-W1 drive is 150 Amps.
This surface cooled drive has 90 Amps continuous current output. A heat sink attached to the rear of the unit increases the effective surface area, and improves heat dissipation. Furthermore, a blower is installed on the heat sink to improve the rate of heat dissipation. Blowers for KDA drives supports 115 or 220 Volts AC input. The blower on this drive requires 220 Volts input. An option that is available on the drive is a 16-bit parallel speed command interface. A second available option is an incremental encoder output. The terminals for motor power and feedback cables are located at the front panel. The IP10 rated drive unit install in a control enclosure. Ambient temperature inside this enclosure should be between 5 and 45 ⁰C. Higher temperatures lead to derated drive output. Site elevations above 1000 meters also lead to derated drive output.
