Product Description:

KDA 3.2-150-3-AYI-W1 is a spindle drive developed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It belongs to the KDA Spindle drive series. It is cooled through forced cooling by the heatsink blower. The DC bus voltage is 300V and the rated current is 150A. It is available with Auxiliary and Synchronous Inputs. The series number is 3 and the design number is 2.  The speed command value is Analog +/- 10V. Incremental Encoder Output is the Aux. interface.

The AC spindle drive has different components, each having its own function. The three-phase auto transformer help to adapt the line power. This power is needed from the transformer and is equal to around 1.4 times of drive system power. The KDV modular power supply works to convert three phase 220 VAC input voltage to DC bus voltage. This can be easily used for powering a spindle motor. KDV power supply can also be used for powering modular AC servo controllers. The quantity depends on the total power which is needed.

The KDA Asynchronous drive module has the power bridge which can be used for converting the DC bus. This is made available by KDV. There is also a circuitry on the KDA which accepts the current commands. This is accepted from CDM module. It helps in determining the power which will be supplied to the motor and the phase to which it will be supplied.

There is also an overload detector which has a thermistor. It is mounted to detect any increase in temperature. The overload detector is known to be operational from 110 or from 220 VAC which provides a closed contact. It works as an output which opens when the temperature increases. There is also a LED which illuminates as the temperature rises.
