Product Description:

The KDA 3.2-100-3-DY0-U1 is a spindle drive from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It belongs to the KDA Spindle Drives series and is designed for CNC machine tools.

The KDA 3.2-100-3-DY0-U1 drive has a DC bus voltage of 300 V. The drive provides a rated current of 100 A and a continuous current of 70 A. Control electronics require a +24 V supply with a capacity of 1.4 A. An additional measurement supply of ±15 V and 160 mA is included. The blower supply runs on 115 V AC at 50 or 60 Hz. The unit supports spindle positioning and advanced C-axis operation for reliable machining performance. Auxiliary encoder input is available in conjunction with synchronous inputs for motor or spindle feedback. Motor feedback is provided via the 15-pin X3 connector, and an additional encoder can be attached to X5. The product supports optional RS-232C serial communication. The drive is compatible with Indramat 2AD asynchronous motors and 1MB frameless spindle motors, with a continuous power range of 3 to 22 kW. Control is achieved by microprocessor-based digital monitoring and diagnostics. The speed control range is from 0.0005 rpm to maximum spindle speed. C-axis operation provides a resolution of 1/360,000 revolutions. With encoder feedback or the SERCOS interface, positioning accuracy can be as high as 1/2,000,000 revolution. Diagnostic features are offered via an integrated keypad and AS programming module. The drive can operate in ambient temperatures ranging from +5 °C to +45 °C, with a maximum of +55 °C.

The KDA 3.2-100-3-DY0-U1 drive weighs about 17.1 kg. The mounting kit adds 1.7 kg, while the blower unit adds 4.2 kg, making the total assembly weight to 23 kg. Cooling is through a forced blower which has 32 l/s airflow at 30 Pa. Dimensions are 373 mm high, 355 mm deep, and 150 mm wide. The product must be vertically placed within a sealed control enclosure. The storage temperatures range from -30 °C to +85 °C. Installation is supported up to 1000 m altitude, with humidity restrictions of 70% non-condensing.
