During operation, the unit converts a DC intermediate circuit into controlled three-phase output so a numerical control system can match spindle speed to cutting conditions in drilling, milling, or grinding applications. Its electrical backbone is a 300 VDC link bus from the central supply. From this bus, the drive can source up to 100 A of motor current, allowing quick acceleration without torque derating.
