For metrology or synchronizing tasks, an auxiliary channel provides an incremental encoder output, duplicating position data for external devices. This added feedback path allows the spindle drive to share motion information with peripheral control hardware without interrupting the main control loop.
The power section can deliver a continuous output of 50 A, so the connected spindle motor receives a steady current envelope suited for heavy material-removal cycles. Its DC link is fed with 300 VDC, which is the nominal bus voltage supplied by the associated supply module. Thermal energy is removed by a mounted heat sink blower; this forced cooling method maintains internal component temperatures during sustained acceleration and deceleration.
