KDA 3.2-050-3-L0S-W1 is a modular KDA series spindle drive. It is produced by Bosch Rexroth. The drive has a slot for a programming module. Drive software and its operating parameters are stored on this module. This module can be easily inserted and removed. In case of a drive fault, operators can move the module to another drive. This helps to reduce downtime and speeds up commissioning of the replacement drive. The overall effect is faster troubleshooting and higher productivity, which leads to higher profitability. KDA series drives units are fitted with a blower that helps to improve cooling. The blower increases the airflow over the rear-mounted heat sink. The heat sink itself is outside the drive enclosure, which reduces the size and cost of the drive enclosure. This also saves costs by requiring enclosures without internal cooling units.
