KDA 3.2-050-3-L0I-W1 is a spindle drive designed for control of Bosch servo motors from the 1MB and 2AD product lines. The drive is a key element of a closed loop control system that also includes a servo motor and the associated feedback cable and motor power cable. A heat sink is mounted on the rear side of the unit. A blower is attached to the heat sink to increase the airflow volume and improve heat dissipation. A programming module installs on the front panel. This module is used to store operating parameters and the drive firmware. The benefits of this modular design include flexibility and high unavailability. If a drive fails and requires replacement, the programming module can be removed and installed in a replacement unit. The recommended ambient temperature for KDA units is 5 to 45 ⁰C.
The permitted peak ambient temperature is 55 ⁰C. At this temperature the output derating is 20%. The recommended site elevation for KDA units is 0 to 1000 meters. The permitted peak site elevation is 5000 meters. At this elevation the output derating reaches approximately 35%. The permitted peak humidity is class F as per DIN 40 040.
