KDA 3.2-050-3-L0I-U1 is a Bosch Rexroth spindle drive. It is purpose-built for control of Bosch 1MB motors and 2AD motors. The drive is microprocessor-based and performs all control functions based on high-resolution measurements. The modular drive design allows full matching to application requirements. In addition to the speed command value, operators can select one auxiliary encoder input and one auxiliary encoder output. KDA units are forced-cooled devices. Depending on AC power availability, operators can order blower units with 115 or 230 Volts supplies. KDA 3.2-050-3-L0I-U1 is a unit with 50 Amps rated output and 35 Amps continuous output. Its DC bus voltage is 300 Volts DC. The speed command value is SERCOS, which is a high-speed serial interface that uses fiber optics for reliable communication. No auxiliary encoder input module is installed on the drive.
A programming module on the unit stores the operating firmware and parameters. If a drive malfunctions, its programing module can be shifted to a replacement drive to speed up the commissioning process. An incremental encoder output module is installed on the spindle drive.
