The KDA 3.2-050-3-D0I-U1 is a configurable main spindle drive designed to provide a long-lasting solution to customers who struggle with the accurate control, monitoring, and diagnosis of their 1MB and 2AD industrial motor series. As a Bosch Rexroth Indramat product, this drive has been crafted to seamlessly integrate with these two motor series. When it is properly integrated, it forms an intelligent system that can be used with a broad range of automation applications. The drive can also be configured to meet the specific requirements of the operator. Parameters used to synchronize this drive to the motor and also to match the drive to machine tools are stored in a programming module. The module is supplied with the drive, it is removable, and instructions can be transferred from one drive to another by simply plugging in an existing programming module into a new unit.
The KDA 3.2-050-3-D0I-U1 main spindle drive is often delivered with a rating plate carrying information which can be used for the easy identification of this product. The programming module also has its own rating plate. The cooling of this product is carried out through a combination of a heatsink installed on its back panel and an external air blower. To ensure efficient heat dissipation, ambient temperature should not be allowed to fall outside a range that falls between 5 to about 45 degrees Celsius.
