The KDA 3.1-150-3-LP0-W1 is a spindle drive built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and placed within the KDA Spindle Drives series. It is intended to supply controlled three-phase power to high-speed motorized spindles, coordinating torque and speed commands from the CNC through the drive’s digital control framework. By integrating power conversion, thermal management, and encoder processing in a single housing, the unit simplifies cabinet layout for milling, drilling, and grinding equipment on automated production lines. The integrated encoder processing also allows the drive to respond quickly to changing spindle conditions during machining.
The power section operates from a bus voltage of 300 VDC, and it can deliver a continuous phase current of 150 A to the connected spindle motor. The unit is intended for ambient temperatures from 5 °C to 45 °C and for installation heights up to 1000 m above sea level.
